The mission of Communities In Schools is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.

Donate

When you become one of the many local business leaders, community leaders and partners who have already donated to Communities In Schools, you can rest assured that your contribution will make a difference in the life of a child, or many children, living right here in Lexington and Davidson County.

Throughout our 14 year history, Communities In Schools has relied on the generosity of people like you to be able to provide the individualized resources and one-on-one attention that at-risk students need in order to stay in school and achieve in life.

Donating to Communities In Schools means donating to a local affiliate of the only organization in the country that has been proven both to drastically decrease the dropout rate and to increase on-time graduation rates.

Whether it’s sending a hungry fifth grader home with a backpack full of kid-friendly food over the weekend or providing school-appropriate clothing for a ninth-grader whose single mother was forced into a domestic violence shelter, every dollar you spend has a direct impact on the future stability of our community.

  • $20 covers the cost of school supplies for one student
  • $50 keeps one student warm this winter with a coat and shoes
  • $100 takes eight students off our waiting list for mentors
  • $500 buys sports equipment for 10 student athletes

Please consider making a quick and easy online donation today. Or mail a check to PO Box 177, Lexington, NC 27293.

We appreciate your support.
